L Jackson & Co was founded in 1950 by Luther Jackson and has grown into one of the largest stockists and suppliers of ex-military vehicles, plant and equipment released from the UK Ministry of Defence, as well as other EU and NATO forces.
Now in its third generation, the business is led by directors Matthew Jackson and Jonny Jackson, continuing the growth of this family-run company.
Our customers include construction and mining companies, utility providers, international aid agencies, UN contractors, government departments, and private buyers.
With over 2,000 items of ex-military vehicles, plant and equipment in stock at any time, we're a first-choice supplier in the sector — backed by 75 years of experience in worldwide sales, shipping, and customs documentation.
Alongside our ex-military stock, we also supply new vehicles and plant equipment for government contracts, and are well versed in navigating the wider defence and government supply chain — from procurement through to delivery.
Our Facilities
We operate from The Rocket Site, Misson, Doncaster — a former Bloodhound missile site spanning over 60 acres. On site we run our own vehicle preparation workshops and paint shops, meaning we can offer short lead times even on large orders, plus a full after-sales service — from individual service parts through to complete spares support.
Vehicles and equipment are inspected and any necessary parts replaced before moving to the paint shop, where they're refinished to the customer's specification. We also cater for bespoke modifications, including tipping bodies, box bodies, service and lube bodies, drops bodies, crane trucks, and tanker trucks.
Worldwide Exports
We export by land, sea, and air, and can handle shipments of any size — from a single item to a full consignment of 100 — with our freight team managing documentation and customs formalities throughout.
